Children can create their own murder mystery in fun half term Holiday Projects

Fun drama-based Holiday Projects, for ages 4 to 13, return to Royal & Derngate this May in Murder Mystery Play In A Week, running from Tuesday 29 May to Friday 1 June.

Who killed Betty Botter? Was it Alfred in the dining room? Or Margery in the conservatory? Children are invited to join Watson and Sherlock to create a murder mystery for all to take part in. Will the audience find the killer in time, or is it too late?

The holiday project will run in two groups, one for ages 4 to 7 and one for ages 8 to 13, and offers children the opportunity to make new friends and develop their performance skills. No experience is necessary – just plenty of enthusiasm!

Children can enjoy four days of creative drama activities with the theatre’s fully DBS-checked professional workshop leaders who will take them on a fun-filled adventure as they discover their individual talents in a safe and relaxed environment. The workshops will encourage children to explore the arts through specially designed activities, with the courses culminating in short performances for family and friends at the end of the week.

Murder Mystery Play In A Week will take place in the theatre’sUnderground spaces from 10am to 4pm, from Tuesday 29 May to Friday 1 June and children may be dropped off earlier (from 9am) and collected later (up to 5pm) by prior agreement.
