Northampton’s Wembley Soprano Announces Solo Concert on Home Turf

Emily Haig from Northampton sings for William

Northampton’s own classical soprano, Emily Haig, has had a busy year, having performed at Wembley Stadium no less than 10 times in the last year, including at the FA Cup Final and also for the start of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in July.

Emily has announced that she is to perform her own solo concert on Friday 20 October at 7.30pm at All Saints Church, in the town centre.

Emily said “I have performed the National Anthem regularly this year at national events, such as the Cup Final, but I actually have a wide programme of classical and musical theatre favourites to share, so I do hope that local music lovers will come to my concert to hear me in person instead of just seeing me on TV”.

Emily was busy at Silverstone Circuit last weekend when she performed the Italian National Anthem for the Ferrari 70th Anniversary race weekend and on Tuesday she was delighted to sing Amazing Grace for the inauguration of a new pillar at Milton Keynes’ MK Rose by HRH Prince William when he made a visit to the new town as part of the MK50 celebrations.

Tickets for Emily’s concert are £10 with children under 18 free and available via email or 07771 702136
