Northamptonshire based consultancy company Building Business, is once again delivering its Women Into Self Employment (WISE) course to help females across Northamptonshire to set up their own businesses.
After an initial intake earlier this year, the team at Building Business are delivering a second programme of six weekly workshops that cover key aspects of running a business and how to get started when it comes to being your own boss.
The course programme covers:
- Session 1 – Introduction and business basics (7th November 2018)
- Session 2 – Defining your product and identifying your customers (15th November 2018)
- Session 3 – Business requirements and marketing (22nd November 2018)
- Session 4 – Looking after the money (28th November 2018)
- Session 5 – Business planning (6th December 2018)
- Session 6 – Next steps and access to finance (12th December 2018)
The workshops are open to any female entrepreneurs looking to set up their own business. Each workshop lasts for two hours and will take place at the Building Business offices in Milton Malsor, Northampton. By the end of the course, each attendee will have created their own business plan and be signposted to any available grants and funding streams. They will also get the opportunity to pitch for £500 worth of start-up funding.
Building Business has supported hundreds of women to work for themselves since it was established in 2006.
Owner of the company, Ruth Roan, said: “WISE is a project that I feel hugely passionate about. We felt there was a gap in support for women who are typically juggling lots of things in their lives but also have great business ideas. We give them the opportunity to take time out to explore the idea of setting up their own business and see if it is for them. WISE is all about inspiring women to believe they can succeed. We give our ladies the tools, advice and support they need to create their own successful enterprises and turn their dreams into reality.”
Places are limited and cost £350 + VAT per person (quote WISE50 for 50% discount). To find out more, call 01604 434079 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Places can also be booked via Eventbrite.
