Ruby Isaac is a 9-year-old budding cyclist from Kettering. She is an @iamspecialized ambassador and has her own @Youtubechannel at http://www.rubyisaac.com

Last year Ruby participated in the NorPIP Bike Ride at Silverstone race track. Her aim was to cycle 40 km in an hour and a half. Not only did she complete this but she also smashed her £500 sponsorship target and raised over £1582!!!

This year Ruby has agreed to return to support the family friendly fun day and cycling event on the 7th May at Silverstone Race track and this time she would like to get other children involved too. She has created a competition on her twitter page @RubyWIsaac and her aim is to get 10 children between the ages of 7 & 14 Years to cycle 3 laps with her and to each raise at least £100.

Each year the event is managed by the third-year events management students from Northampton University.

Jess Barker the Fundraising Coordinator for NorPIP said “NorPIP is a small local charity and would not be able to facilitate such an event with out their help. The hands-on experience in which they gain, is part of their final dissertation. With their help and all the support from Northampton’s RRT Team the event has been and will be a revving success.”

Tickets start from £15 for adults and £5 for children and are available through Eventbrite, but can also be accessed via the event website and social media.

All riders must be aged 7 or over and must be wearing safety helmets in order to access the track.

NorPIP works with young families and children to provide therapy and the annual event is our biggest fundraising event in its calendar. NorPIP does not receive any statutory funding and the staff at NorPIP go above and beyond to continue to raise awareness and the much-required monies to provide the much-needed service it provides across Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.

“All the funding raised will go to support families who receive therapy from us, who are suffering from Post Natal depression, Mental health issues, Psychosis or difficult home lives to get the very best from family life”.
