Vegan restaurants in Northamptonshire Northampton Life magazine food reviews

If you’re looking to go vegan or even just add a bit more veg into your life to be a bit healthier, then check out this list of Northamptonshire vegan restaurants.

With the New Year and new month, January has been transformed into Veganuary. We’ve even had the launch of vegan sausage rolls from Greggs and McDonalds veggie Happy Meals. It’s only going to get bigger, so why not try it out for yourself!

79 Broadmead Ave, Northampton NN3 2RA

This is the most vegan restaurant you’ll find in Northampton town. Karmana has been around for a while now, you could say it was cool before it was cool to be vegan. Their menu is vast and inspired. The curries sound incredible and there’s even a juice bar!

2The Windhover

Brampton Lane, Chapel Brampton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN6 8AA

The Windhover has created an incredible vegan menu which includes items such as a warming winter tart, squash coconut curry and even a burger. Vegan has never sounded so tasty! This menu in the popular pub means you can still go out with the guys without it being awkward for menu choices.

3Zapato Lounge

Welsh House, 2 Newland Walk, Northampton, NN1 2EB

Zapato Lounge is part of the ‘Lounges’ group which has many restaurants across Northamptonshire so you can be sure to pick this up locally. They have a specific vegan menu as well as a gluten free. There is a world of options including brunch, tapas and sandwiches.

4The Wheatsheaf – Titchmarsh

1 North St, Titchmarsh, Kettering NN14 3DH

The Proper Pub Co owned The Wheatsheaf in Titchmarsh won our pub of the year award earlier in 2018. It’s easy to see why – their vegetarian and vegan menu has a great selection of homemade proper food. Even steak and pie night is sorted with vegan options. The desserts are covered too!

5Brooklyn Pizza Bar!

Unit 2, City Buildings, Fish St, Northampton NN1 2AA

Takeout anyone? Brooklyn Pizza bar has created fresh and fun flavours with vegans in mind. They have a coconut based mozzarella alternative so no one is left out when it comes to a late night pizza or Friday night treat. Find out more about the menu here.

The Boardwalk Rushden Lakes NN10 6FA

Whilst this is a smaller set menu offering but Bills at Rushden Lakes has created dishes dedicated to Veganuary, 2 courses for under £12! The stew sounds perfect for a winter warmer too, vegan or no vegan! This is a great way to introduce yourselves to a different menu and option to see for yourself the goodness of going plant based.

7185 Watling Street

85 Watling St. Towcester, Northamptonshire, NN12 6BX

This Towcester based restaurant, 185 Watling Street has a pretty extensive menu at the best of times but their Vegan options are all defined by the VE symbol on the main menu. We have to say, they all sound delicious. The sausage rolls and hummus tapas sound perfect for an evening in the pub for a few bites too!

This is just a selection of the fantastic menus we’ve found – if you own or know a restaurant that has introduced a wonderful vegan selection, let us know and we’ll be sure to add it in! Contact us at info@northantslife.co.uk with the subject VEGAN!
