Where to meet Father Christmas in Northamptonshire – 2018



Father Christmas will be making lots of visits this December to meet all the girls and boys in Northampton.

Breakfast or Tea with Santa & Santa’s Grotto at Wyevale Garden Centres

Enchanted Forest and Grotto at Weston Favell

Weston Favell shopping centre are hosting their award winning enchanted forest and Santa’s Grotto.  The Enchanted Forest Grotto consists of 120 real life fir trees and offers a truly unique experience, including all the sounds and scents you’d expect to find in the forest. Santa will be available until Christmas Eve where you can meet him and receive a Christmas gift. Advisable to book. Weston Favell Shopping Centre Wellingborough Road, Northampton, NN3 8JZ.

Delapre Abbey

Would you like your little one to meet Santa in the beautiful surroundings of Delapre Abbey. Santa will be in the Archivist Room in the main Abbey. He will be able to take their wishes, give them a present and meet the elves. Book a one hour slot to reduce your waiting times. Visit the Yards Shopping District in Kettering to visit Santa Claus at their Grotto. There’s something for all the family in this shopping area. Santa will be there every Saturday so to book on do visit their website or turn up on the weekend.


Until 22nd December, Santa will be at Whilton Locks Garden Village in Daventry to meet children and enjoy a breakfast with the children. At the Rushden, Higham and Wellingborough Railway, a Santa Grotto will be open on the 8-9th December. Most notably they will be opening the Grotto with quieter music and turning down the lights to make it more enjoyable for children who need a more comfortable environment. This is an event with children with Autism and similar needs in mind. This will allow them to have an hour where it will be quieter and each child will receive a present from Santa, a drink and buscuit.

5Stanwick Lakes

Stanwick Lakes will be bringing Santa to the lakeside. Through snow dusted fir trees you can meet Santa in his workshop from £6 per child. This includes a present, Christmas trail and crafts. This can be booked for the 8-9th December. https://www.stanwicklakes.org.uk/whats-on/

6Nene Valley Railway

The Nene Valley Railway are taking families on a wonderful Christmas journey. Arrive an hour before your train departs to meet Santa and go through the grotto. Following your visit to Santa, then you will go on to the steam hauled train to Peterborough and return. You will receive a drink, chocolates and mince pies. Santa walks through the train to see the children, providing an opportunity to take photographs and to wish everyone the compliments of the season.
