Alpaca Walking Experience

Meet Chester House’s friendly alpacas and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the estate with an expert handler. A Squash and a Squeeze
31 Oct – 2 Nov 2025 – Royal & Derngate, Northampton
Julia Donaldson’s picture book comes to life in a charming musical that invites children to join a little old lady who thinks her home is too small. Expect puppetry, catchy songs and plenty of audience participation as farmyard animals squeeze into her house and she learns that it’s not the size of your home that matters. The show is recommended for ages 3-8 and runs across Halloween weekend.

Heritage Workshops
Throughout November 2025 – Chester House Estate, Irchester
Chester House’s hands‑on workshops explore crafts from Roman jewellery making to medieval book binding. Under guidance from expert tutors, participants learn historical techniques and craft their own keepsakes to take home. Workshops are available on selected dates through 30 November and must be booked in advance.

Toddler Skates
November 2025 – January 2026 – Whilton Locks Garden Village, Whilton
Tiny skaters can glide across a real ice rink with their grown‑ups at Whilton Locks. Pushchairs are welcome and there are special sessions for parents and toddlers, making this a gentle introduction to skating for little ones. The rink is open from early November until January with festive music and warm drinks available.

12 Artists, Two Venues, Limitless Creativity
